THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, true to his word, Charles did an excellent job of keeping our Lexa sedated over the next few days and this was the only way she could make it through the funeral, afterall she was attending her own funeral, in a way, for everyone who had come, from far and wide, had come to pay their last respects to Lexa Hale, but her she was, flesh and blood, very much alive. In a near catatonic state, comfortably numb to the deep emotional pain, and turmoil whirling about inside her like a storm; which the small doses of thorazine helped to calm the tempest in her heart and mind. So there she sat, veiled in black, her mother was their beside her and Xation was on her right, holding her hand as she sat there sightly shaking, in shock, unable to cry as everyone was weeping around her in the little mission in Villa de Rosa, just west of the Estate. They dared not hold the funeral in the city, for when the news had reached the people of South America they were all horrified to learn of the scandalous double murder/suicide and many blamed Lexa for the loss of their beloved, prized boxer, and when the news reached America many in the Golf world blamed the boxer/ lothario for the loss of their beloved, sexy L.P.G.A. star. Lexa glanced around at all the familiar faces she recognized of friends, colleagues and former competitors whom had shown up to say goodbye, and this touched her heart deeply, but she held back the tears as the priest gave a heart lifting eulogy for her, and this did Lexa's soul good to hear. Now, as the hour passed, Lexa listened as her father got up before the congregation and spoke next, through tears, thanking all those who had attended and asking them for their prayers for the family. Then the old priest led everyone in a prayer for the departed, with bowed heads they all gave up a unified prayer to their God, then everyone went, forming a line passing by the closed casket to pay their last and final respects. Lexa watched as many of the women placed a single white rose on top of the coffin, she found she could not bring herself to stand up and go to say goodbye. So Lexa turned to her mother and said "Mom.., I want to be the last one to go."
"That's fine sweet heart, whatever you want." Sharon said her heart as heavy as a stone at the tragic loss of her beautiful angel.
Charles went, pausing for a long while and he left a little note among the garland of flowers, it was written by his own hand and it read, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER! Serena and Felina came next and they placed two roses for her and each woman was filled with tears as they wept holding each other as they passed, this was very touching for Lexa to see, for she had always believed Felina had hated her, and her dead sister Leah. Lexa then watched as Bengiman paused in front of the coffin, he placed one his massive hands upon it, bowed his head and said a silent prayer, and then he spoke and he whispered to the dead "I should have been there to protect you, Lexa."
Now Hays heard this as he stood next to the broken hearted Englishman laying his hands on his strong shoulders telling him "Bengiman, it's alright, there was nothing you could do. Let her go, let her go easy." he said trying to console both the living and the dead.
The last of the three went next, as Lexa still sat in the pew the last one seated, as everyone else solemnly filed out of the old white mission as the bells began to toll. Xation followed Hays and he too stopped and said his goodbye, then Garreth and Sharon, the dead woman's parents, lingered at the casket of their murdered daughter then her mother covered her eyes and wept, then Garreth beckoned to his remaining child to come over to the coffin and say goodbye. Lexa took in a deep breath and she summoned up the courage of her ancestors and she rose up, knees slightly shaking, muscles as tense as wires, slowly, inch by inch she came closer, this was the hardest burden she would ever be forced to bear, the desolation she felt was overhelming, the level of despair and all the trauma she had surpressed with high powered drugs could no longer be contained, this is when the tears came, streaming down her face, the plaintiff wails of her voice echoing off the stone walls filling the space with the sound of her grief. Here Lexa had the overwhleming urge to open up the casket and look at her sister's face, just one more time, but due to her injuries, near decaptiation, the coffin lid had been sealed shut. So infront of God, and everyone that remained inside the old mission that day, witnessed Lexa as she bent down over the casket wrapping her arms around it, as if trying to embrace her dead sister, this was so sad, and touching, a loving display of affection from the living to the dead, but as Lexa wept she grasped the casket tighter, and did not want to ever let go. Xation gave her a moment, however, when three minutes passed, four minutes passed, the display of love and affection now was becoming unsettliing and disturbing, so Xation went over and put his hands on his wife's shoulders saying "Leah, come on.., now, we have to let her go."
"No." she said through tears, clutching the coffin even tighter, her head turned to the left resting upon the roses and garlands of flowers, and Lexa wanted to stay like this forever, but most of all she wanted to climb inside the long wooden box and sleep forever with her sister.
This sight was unbearable for her mother and father to watch "Leah, sweetie, come on now they have to take her away, so she can be cremated, so we can bring her home with us."
     "No!" she proclaimed.
Here Xation reached down taking her by the wrists doing his best to gently pull his wife off of her sister's coffin. This was a little difficult, as Leah seemed to possess an amazing strength but through her bitter tears and moans of regret Xation was able to get her grip loose and then she turned to Xation and collapsed in his arms, burying her face in his chest, crying like a dying animal. Lexa was uncertain of what happened next, all she remembered was waking up in bed.., in her sister's bed upstairs, with Xation sitting there beside her holding her hand "What? What happened?" she asked confused with no memomry of how she got back to the Estate.
"Oh my love, you fainted, but you are home now.., safe and sound." well, she was safe, but far from sound. "How are you feeling?"
"Like I want to die." Lexa replied in all honesty.
"Sweet heart, do not say that! I need you very much alive! Your son needs you very much alive! We all need you very much alive!" Xation said trying to show his love and affection "Leah.., I want you to know that I don't think I could live my life without you."
Lexa gave Xation a little smile then she sat up in Leah's bed complaining to her 'husband' of a headache, to which Xation suggested she eat some food, as she had not eaten in days, she agreed and Xation went to get her something to eat. Now, while he was down in the kitchen, Lexa crept out of the master suite and went down stairs, through the hall to her room. She opened up the door and went in locking her bedroom door behind her. It would be 2 days before she would come out, refusing to see, or speak with anyone. Leaving her family members to grow more concerned for her health and sanity.
It was only when her mother and father came knocking upon the door telling her they had brought her sister back, they had her ashes and they wanted her to open the door so she could see the urn and the engravings. Here Lexa threw open the door and hurried her parents inside. "You brought her back to me!"  she exclaimed, but when she looked at the urn she started to laugh, and this was quite disturbing to her parents, as well as Xation, who was eaves-dropping on the otherside of the locked door. "It's a cube!" she said through fits of laughter, and it was a bronze cube with the name, birth date and death date, of the deceased along with a few symbols in a golf motif.
"What is so God damn funny young lady?" her mother asked mortified by her daughters reaction to the sight of her sisters ashes, as she and her husband entered the dimly lit room; which smelled of tears and sweat, their daughter looking wide eyed and disturbed, her hair a disheveled mess, wearing a stained, wrinkled nightgown.
"It's a metal cube.., like the Borg, from Star-Trek.., she has been assimilated!" here Lexa laughed some more for she and Leah used to love to watch that sci-fi show, the Borg episodes being amomg their favorite. "I guess, in the end, we all will be assimilated, resitance is futile." here Lexa snatched the heavy square box and jumped in bed with it, setting the small cube on the pillow next to her as she covered herself under the comfort of her warm blanket, then she turned to her parents and told them " The Police sent me her purse and passport.., and now I have her back with me, we are all together, but we are very tired.., so if you don't mind..,will you leave us alone now? We would like very much to go back sleep."
Garreth and Sharon knew instantly something was terribly wrong in their daughter's fragile state of mind, but they said nothing of this to her, only stepping out quietly from the room, where they found their son-in-law in the hall and this is when they began their disccussion about Leah's mental health, and the sort of help they might be able to find for her. "Come let us step outside and get some fresh air by the pool so we can discuss this troubling matter further, in private." Xation said in a hushed voice.
So the three went outside sitting by the moon-lit pool on that crisp, autumn night deciding what sort of treatment would be right for Leah, as they all knew by her behavior, and the trauma she had endured, they feared she was losing her mind, and Lexa, herself, could feel all sanity flowing away from her like lava down the side of volcano. The conversation was well underway when Lexa could hear voices from outside her window, so she got up out of bed, clutching the urn of ashes close to her chest as she went over sneaking out onto the patio, where she went, undiscovered, as she heard her family talking about sending her away to a private mental institution. Here her heart and mind raced in a panic and Lexa knew she had to do something fast to save her ass from being locked away forever. She had to escape and get away, this she was most sure of, Lexa had to figure out how to get away from this rich and powerful man, her 'husband' Xation Day, terrified and most fearful, Lexa snuck back into her room locking all the doors for she needed time to think.
Several hours had passed, it was well after the midnight hour, everyone had settled down and gone to bed, but not our Lexa, her clever mind was still intact, and she had settled on a course of action, her mind had found a line of escape, and it's direction was known to her, absolute trust in herself kept our Lexa going in the right direction, to the extent she was determined her escape would prove to be a good thing, and in the end this is how it all traspired.
Step 1: The Seduction and a Secured Promise. Lexa arose from her bed, a little after one in the a.m., she bathed herself for the first time in days, shaving her legs and the rest of herself in the hot soapy water, washing and conditioning her long golden locks, preparing herself for what she must do. She rubbed sweet almond oil into her wet, supple skin before she slipped on a pair of black fishnet stockings and matching garter belt, this was needed to cover her abdomn for she could not dare let Xation see she did not bear Leah's c-section scar and figure out who she really was. Lexa turned going over to her sister's urn saying "Please forgive me for what I am about to do Leah, and I love you." She sealed her words with a kiss upon the cold metal box. Then she stood wrapping up in a emerald-green silk robe, Lexa crept through the long dark hall of the quiet house as all lay sleeping snug in their beds. Lexa slowlyly tip-toed up the marble stairs, making her way to Leah and Xation's room with out a sound, her heart racing, palms sweating as she tried to take in a few breaths to calm down. Gently Lexa opened up the bedroom door, in the darkness she could just make out by the light of the moon through the window, Xation was lying on his back with a thin sheet covering his naked body. Lexa went over to her sister's vanity table, spritzing on a little of Leah's perfume, the delicious scent of jasmine and lilys; which instantly reminded Lexa of Leah and she could feel her presence with her as she walked over to the bed.
As Xation slept Lexa slid her robe off wearing only the stockings and garter belt, her naked breasts felt the chill in the air as she climbed up in bed and on top of Xation straddling his lap as he slept. He awoke to feel the warmth of her hips pressing on his pelvis through the thin sheet. "Leah?" Xation said delighted with this surprise.
"Xation..," she said in a whisper, as if Lexa did not want anyone else to hear, though the couple was quite alone in the bedchamber. "I am so sorry for the way I have been behaving." she apologized to him convincingly enough.
"Oh Leah, please.., I understand how hard this has been on you, and I wish you would tell me, what it is I can do to help you." Xation said as he sighed rubbing the outside of her thighs with his hands softly with a gentle touch that felt good against Lexa's skin.
"Xation.., there is something I want to do, to get my mind off of.., all of this.., sadness." she said in a whipser.
"What can I do for you.., or to you?" Xation smiled with a little laugh reaching up and carressing her firm round breasts.
"I want to go away.., take me on a nice vacation, just the two of us.., and I want to leave tomorrow." Lexa said this time her voice not so timid.
"Where shall I take you, my beautiful bride?" Xation replied as he lie there looking up at his gorgeous wife, whom seemed to be back to her old self.
"I've never been to Costa Rica. I've seen pictures of the beaches and the rainforests.., wouldn't that be nice, to be alone together in the ocean like that night on Lanai." Lexa said well aware of what transpired that night as her sister Leah would tell her every detail about her affairs.
"Why I beleive that is the best idea I have heard all year!" Xation sat up with his wife straddling his lap as he embraced her tightly giving her deep and long, passionate kisses, to which Lexa responded, afterall, eventhough this was technically her brother-in-law, he was a flesh and blood man, and her sister, his wife was dead, so Lexa kissed him back and the tension that had been restrained within her, for days now, slowly began to let loose of her body and mind and fade away.
Between her legs she could feel Xation's growing, rock-hard erection then she slowly rose up a little pulling the silk sheet from off his crotch, she looked down at her brother-in law and licked her lips as her pupils dilated and she said "I'm ready for." Xation slipped himself inside the warmth of her body then she added "But you must be gentle with me tonight, for I do not have much strength inside of me, alright?"
" Yes.., slow and sweet.., for my sweetness." Xation said as he rolled her over on her back in an unbroken seductive motion as he laid himself upon her, deep inside her slowly with kisses on the mouth, and Lexa knew now, first hand, through Xation's ease and  tenderness just how much he really did love his Leah, our poor dead Leah, and this broke Lexa's heart to know. Though it was somehow strange, for as she found herself in Xation's arms, with him slipping himself ever so sweetly in and out of her,  Lexa, somehow felt closer to Leah there in Leah's husband's arms. So Lexa let go and cast away all restraint, fully allowing Xation to free her from all the physical stress in every inch of her tense muscles, in any form possible, she let herself go with the flow, for this was all to serve her purpose and that was a way out.
True to his word, Xation made all the arrangements neccesary for their spontaneous, romantic trip to Costa Rica, and by dinner time the next day the two sat on the terrace of their hotel looking out over the Pacific Ocean just as the sun began to set. They enjoyed a nice dinner together, however, Xation had no idea it would be their last. Now Lexa made sure to get Xation nice and drunk at the table that night, so when they shared a bed together again, tonight, he would be less in a clear state of mind, and our Lexa was a fit American girl who could out drink a house full of frat boys, so she ordered two more bottles of expensive red wine, and by the time Xation wound up in bed, and Lexa had come out of the bathroom after brushing her teeth, our inebriated Xation was passed out, fast asleep. This is exactly what she needed, so Lexa curled up under the covers beside Xation sharing a bed with him one last time.
Many thoughts raced through her mind as she lie there, Lexa needed to rest but she was afraid of what dreams might come, but a wee bit after midnight Lexa nodded off and she dreamed a dream, and in this dream she was walking along a hillside covered over with the most beautiful flowers of all shades of lavender, pinks, blues, she heard the angelic voice of a woman singing sweetly coming from the other side of the hill. Lexa walked on in the brightest sunshine over the ridge, and when she looked down into the greenest valley where she saw a woman with long golden curls sitting with her back to her. Lexa called out "Hello?" then a gentle breeze blew arcoss the hillside lifting her hair and the woman stopped her melodious singing a turned in a robe of golden splendor, saying nothing only smiling a peaceful smile. Lexa recognized her face, for it was the face of her sister, but not the ghost of a shell she had seen before on the end of the bed all injured and bleeding, no, for here she had radiant eyes with incandescent skin and she radiated a warmthness of pure energy. "Leah!" Lexa cried out as she opened up her eyes. It was nearly morning and soon it would be time.
Step 2: The Escape. "Xation, sweet heart." Lexa said a little after 8:00 a.m. "How are you feeling this morning?"
Xation opened is bleary eyes feeling like there was a Roman carnival taking place in his brain "O fuck! My head is killing me." Xation complained as he closed his eyes pulling the covers over his face sheilding himself from the early morning light.
"Ah, let me get you some asprin." Lexa said kindly tending to her 'husband' and his hangover, however the pills Xation swallowed were not a mild anelgesic, no, but 500 milligrams of Nembutal. "There you go." Lexa said taking the glass of water and setting it on the nightstand, then she sat on the bed and looked down at Xation Day, one last time, and she told him "Listen, you go back to bed, I am booked down in the spa for a facial and massage. I'll be back in about two hours, so order some roomservice if you want breakfast and then we will go down to the beach when I come back." she promised telling him lies.
"Leah, wait." Xation said as Lexa's heart began to race.
"Yes, Xation?" Lexa said looking nervously in his dark eyes, hoping, praying, this was the last time she would ever have to see him in her life.
"I am so glad you wanted to come here, away with me, alone. You might not know this.., but you make me so happy." he said with great joy in his eyes.
Here the gravity of her situation, and the unknown danger of this new adventure, she was about to embark on, made her stop and think, and for a brief second, as Leah looked upon Xation's handsome face, all the memories she had of him and Leah, and Charles and Bengiman, everything, and all of it, flashed before her eyes, but once again she summond up the courage of her ancestors, a warrior people, and she smiled  gently touching Xation's face then bent down giving him a brief, loving farewell kiss "Always remember how much I love you." Lexa said strictly speaking for her sister. Then she touched his hand and said "Goodbye sweet heart, go back to sleep.., I will be back before noon." with that Lexa picked up her purse, her purse the one the police had shipped back, then she quietly left the room.
Now Nembutal and alcohol should never be mixed and when Xation woke up 16 hours later, just before midnight, he found his wife gone, just a handwritten note on the  pillow beside him, and when he switched on the light, Xation snatched up the letter and this is what he read.
     Dearest Darling Xation Day,
By the time you read this I will be long gone, far away. I am so sorry to do this to you and put our family through this, but since I have lost my sister, nothing will ever be the same, and I don't know if I will ever feel right again. I know I can not face you, beacuse I do now know what to say, but I do not want to be locked up in an institution, I am not insane., and if I am., then no one is safe. Please forgive me, but I went to sell the engagement ring you gave me, and my wedding band so I can have some money to live on and get out of South America. I do not know where I am going, but please take care of Jason, I am afraid, if I am insane, I should never be around our son. I know you and your sisters, and parents, and Bengiman and Charles will all be much better off without me. And I promise.., I will never bother you, I will crawl away for good, because I know I am not right. Please do not try to find me, because I do not wish to be found, I will only bring everyone, and everything.., down. Remember me and I will never forget you, so long as we both shall live, so long as we both shall live. ----- Leah will love you forever...
Xation sat in a daze, his mind clouded by the drugs, his heart broken by the news, his emotions shrouded in rage and confuson, and at first he thought he was dreaming, but when Xation began screaming and destroying the contents of the room, hotel security was soon at his door. In a mad, rambling rant Xation ordered them to call the police explaining they must find his wife. He showed the three men the note and they more than understood and empathized with the heart broken man. Now they offered their sympathies, but could be of no service, as his wife was free to leave him, if she so pleased, and this left Xation seething and humiliated, then he immediatly phoned Hays and Serena back in Texas. Both were absolutely mortified and Serena made Xation read the note over and over again while she listened shell shocked over the telephone line.
"Xation! I do not know why this has happened, or what is going on in her head, but I swear to you, and before God! Hays and I will find her! If it is the last thing I ever do! She is out there somewhere, she can not hide forever! I will bring your wife back home to you!" this was Serena's message and answer to her brother's cry for help, this was the path she chose. However our cunninig Serena and our clever Hays did not realize just how long finding the elusive and destructive Leah would take.

More of Last Chapter

"Charles?" Lexa said as he entered the dimly lit room, he had taken to dying his hair black and wearing brown contact lenses since moving back to America {this was to help disguise his appearance as he was still wanted by the Department of Justice, F.B.I. and D.E.A., not to mention the District Attorney's office back in Chicago} but Lexa did not know this and she almost did not recognize her friend. "You look so.., different, why have you dyed your hair.., and your eyes.., look so strange, not the briliant shade of blue I remember." she commented as she came near, seeing he was in great distress.
"Oh Leah!" Charles said his eyes reddened by previous tears "I can not believe what has happened to our poor Lexa!" the level of his disparity coming through in the sorrowful tone of his voice. The two embraced tightly sobbing on one another's shoulder, and it felt good for Lexa to feel his arms around her again. Then Charles said close to her ear, and she could feel his hot breath on her neck, confessing "Oh God! Leah. God help me, but I think this is all my fault."
Here Lexa let loose and stood back looking Charles in his tear filled eyes. "What? That's impossible!"
"Don't you understand? I was so in love with her! I should have married her, like I had wanted to in the first place." Charles confided to Leah, but of course, he like, all the rest, believed he was speaking with Leah, it was only Lexa who knew Leah was dead. So, unkowing, Charles poured his heart out to the woman he had loved and had dreamt of marrying. "I loved her so much, and now I can never tell her how I really feel." Charles lamented.
Lexa was stunned by this revelation, for Charles had never discussed the subject of marriage with her, except durning the fight with Bengiman when Charles declared he would never marry her. Lexa let go of Charles as she took a step back sitting on the edge of the bed, she was very dizzy and felt faint. Charles lent a hand and helped her, sitting next to her, then she turned to him and said "Charles, is that true? Did you want to marry my sister?
"Yes." he said with a nod of his head.
"Did you ever tell her this?" she asked waiting to see if he would tell a lie.
"No." Charles replied sadly shaking his head.
"Why?" Lexa asked wiping away a few tears from his eyes.
"I was going to but..," he sighed staring down at the floor ashamed by his behavior.
     "But what?"
"The last time I saw her, that day when I found out about her and.., Bengiman" Charles uttered his name, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. "Before that day.., of the fight.., you know I would have forgiven her of anything, anything in the world.., but when I found out she had been with.., him.., so many times.., it was just too much to take. So my bitterness and jealousy and anger got in the way of the true love I had for her.., And if I could have been more forgiving, more understanding, I would still have her beside me, she would be my wife, our poor, sweet Lexa, would still be alive." Charles said with the weight of his guilt- ridden, painful emotions heaped upon him with undeniable misery.
Lexa felt her heart melt like wax over a flame, for his proffession of his love for her had touched upon her very deeply, and she herself still loved Charles and had never really stopped. "Sweetheart! It is not your fault, there was nothing you could have done, don't blame yourself for what might have been." here Lexa put her arms around him, to give her beloved a little comfort, to give his mind ease. "Ssh, ssh, Charles, there, there, listen to me." she said in a soft gentle voice as she held back her own tears telling him "I want you to know that Lexa forgives you, of anything you feel you have done to wrong her, or for any unkind words you have said."
"How do you know she forgives me?" Charles lamented resting his weary head upon Leah's shoulder.
"Oh my dear, sweet, suffering Charles.., I know she forgives you..," here Lexa felt the overwhelming urge to tell Charles all, that it was really she, Lexa, that was still alive, that it was Leah who was dead. However, a stronger desire to keep her secret safe, and protect her life, surpassed all her reasons to tell him the truth, so she contiued "because Charles.., I forgive you." with these words she turned her head toward him and gave him a liitle kiss on his tear stained cheek.
"Leah.., you are so kind to me." Charles said as he sat up putting his arms around her and giving her a litlle squeeze, then, when he looked into her bright green eyes, it seemed so strange to him, for she had the familiar face of his dearly departed Lexa, and he said to her "It is just so hard to look at you, you look just like her." now for one brief second, as the two sat on the edge of the bed together, embracing one another, face to face, eye to eye, a feeling surged up between them, in that split second the love between them was physicaly expressed with a short, exquisite kiss. Then reality set in "Oh God! Leah, I am so sorry, please forgive me, I should not have., I.., you look just like her." Charles said as he leapt up from the bed, with an erection so hard you could cut diamonds with it. "Oh, please! Do not tell Xation, he would kill me."
"I won't tell him, I promise.., I just want you to do one thing for me." Lexa said glad the kiss had happened, in more ways then one, for his action would prove to be most advantageous to her needs "I want you to give me some morphine..,"
     Charles looked horrified "I..?"
"I need something strong for my migraines, my depression, my stress and anxiety!" Lexa said as she stood up reaching out for him in desperation "After what has happened! Charles.., did you know they showed me the crime scene photo? I had to identify her, she was shot through the throat, nearly to the point of decaptation! God damn it!" here she collapesed back on the bed in a heap of misery and tears with flashes of the image of her murdered sister, our poor Lexa could still see the gory image even when she closed her eyes.
Charles looked down at the wretched sight of this woman in mourning, this was his friend, the sister of his beloved. Now Charles had lost much of that which was inside him, and that was kindness, goodness and love. However there still remained, alive and well, somewhere insdie him such emotions as compassion, and mercy and pity. So he sat next to his dispirited friend holding her once again, gently rocking her back and forth lightly in his arms "There, there, my darling, I will give you what ever you need to numb yourself to this tragedy and misery. Though morphine is too dangerous.., I think, instead, I will give you a nice dose of Thorazine."
"Charles, I want you to promise you will keep me so doped up I won't even remember the next few days, I don't think I can handle going to the funeral.., this is just all too much to take" her words were all full of desperation and disparity and it hurt his heart to hear "I don't think I will have the strength and courage to go and say goodbye to.., her."
"Hush, hush., of course you will have the courage, I will see to that., and I promise I will do wahtever it takes to help you make it through these next few dark days." Charles said doing his best to reassure her. Although our Charles was basically devoid of any realtionship with his Lord, he offered up a silent prayer to his God, just the same, begging for him to send his love to his Lexa in heaven, and asking for the strength and wisdom to take care of Leah during this time of endless sadness and pain.

Last Chapter continues

Lexa did not recall much of the next ten hours, for after she had gone down stairs, and spoken alone with the lead investigator, Lexa had went straight to her room downstairs utterly devastated and spiraling down, falling into the deepest pit of depression she had ever known. She had sat in the old rocking chair by her bed still dressed in one of her sister's nightgowns, Leah's wedding ring still around her finger, she was still smelling of her sisters perfume, all part of the ruse, but now the story was not over, Lexa was still perceived as Leah, no one knew of the deception. Even when Lexa was alone with the detective she could have easily opened up her mouth and explained the situation to the police, tell them it was Leah who was deceased, and not she. However, when Lexa was shown one of the crime scene photo's, so she could positively identify the body, Lexa was so terrified of the repercussions from Xation, if he ever found out about the truth of the matter, she told the police that it WAS her twin sister Lexa Hale whom was having an affair with the boxer and had been shot dead in the murder suicide. As she thought back on the events of the morning Lexa remembered the detective said he would send her sister's purse back to her in the mail, he had also handed over the keys to the little Mercedes and gave her the address of the impound lot where it could be picked up later.
So Lexa sat in the stillness of her bedroom, rocking back and forth in silence, holding the keys to the convertible, her mind clearly seeing the face of her dead sister in the photograph. Oh how she wished the police did not have to show her that. Lexa felt so dead and numb inside, you could have stabbed her with a knife and she would not have felt it. In misery she sat up, wide awake for hours, as the sun passed from day into night, casting long dark shadows across the walls and floor. Hours were like minutes to her now, for Lexa was so far lost on the path to certain madness. It was around half past ten, in the p.m. when there came a tap, tapping upon her bedroom door, now she had heard these knocks all day long, but all of her in-laws pleas to open the door went ignored. However, Lexa leapt up to her feet when she heard Xation speaking loudly from out in the hall. "Leah.., sweetheart.., it's your husband, Xation, I have come to take care of you my darling." Xation said in gentle, calm voice, as if her were speaking to a severely traumatized child. "Open the door for me my angel.., please."
Lexa flew over to the door in a flash, her mind racing, her heart aching, and she knew she had to go on under false pretenses, and still pretend to be her sister, until there came such a time she was able to escape. "Xation?" came her voice as she slowly turned the latch, unlocking the door to him. "Come in."
Here Xation looked down at the tear stained face of his wife, her eyes red and swollen from hours of endless crying, lamenting and weeping, this touched a nerve of empathy in Xation's heart and he was completely devastated to see his wife suffering so, with the loss of her beloved sister "Oh my Leah," Xation said as tears began to well up, with a lump in his throat, as he continued he embraced his heart-broken wife "I am so sorry this happened, it is not right. Come let me get you upstairs to our room, mother tells me you have been locked up in Lexa's room all day and night." Xation said as he put an arm around her trying to escort his wife from her dead sister's bedroom.
Suddenly his wife turned quickly from his grip and hissed "No! I want to be close to her!" Now this was not the truth, for the fact of the matter was that since she learned of Leah's murder and the strange encounter, or dream she had, of her murdered sister, just hours before the police came, this was enough to terrify Lexa, and she did not want to ever step foot in Leah's bedroom again. "Oh, Xation! Can't you just leave me lone for a little while longer?" she pleaded as she squirmed from his hands.
Xation looked at the absolute terror in his wife's eyes and he realized just how delicate and fragile Leah's mind was following the aftermath of Lexa's murder, so he took in a calm breath then gave his wife a sympathetic smile. "Very well, my darling, I will not force you to do anything.., right now.., you need to be allowed to grieve, in peace, but you must know everyone has come to see you."
"Who? Who has come with you?" Lexa said suddenly feeling agitated by the information.
"Well," Xation said as he motioned for his wife to sit in the rocking chair, he sitting on the edge of the bed as he reached across, lovingly holding her hand Xation said "Serena and Hays came down form Texas, and Charles is here as well. Your parents, aunt and cousins will be here in the morning and Felina is on her way."
"Oh." she replied a blank look on her face, showing no emotion "That was very nice of them to come.., Lexa would be very happy to see them all again."
"Yes.., but they would all like very much to come and see you, just to say hello, if that is all right by you." Xation said hoping she would agree.
"Oh, no.., I look a mess, perhaps in the morning after I have had a bath." she said rubbing her temples as the pain in her head returned once again.
Xation noticed his wife wincing "Sweetheart are you okay, is it one of your migraines again?" he asked worried the stress and trauma of this metal anguish was too much for Leah to take.
"Yes." Lexa confessed for she too suffered from migraine headaches just like her sister.
"Then you should at least let Charles come in here and examine you, get you some medicine to help calm your nerves." Xation gave a concerned look brushing a long golden curl off his wife's face.
Now Lexa thought that was a capital idea for she hoped Charles might be kind enough as to give her some morphine to help ease her mind and body into sleep. "Yes, thank you Xation, tell Charles I will see him now." Lexa said as she leaned over giving Xation a little kiss on the cheek. "I am sorry you have to see me like this, I just haven't felt myself today."
"Oh Leah you do not have to apologize to me, but for now I will leave you be, I want to go see our baby, I have missed both of you so much.., and I.., I am sorry I was not here for you this morning." Xation gave his wife a sincere look of regret and said "Leah., I just want you to know that after the funeral I am taking you and Jason back to Texas with me. The house is finally ready, everything is set up and ready to go. We will never have to be apart, like we have been, ever again. I will always be right by your side, my love, every day and night." Xation said truly happy to be moving his family up to Dallas very soon.
Here Lexa's heart sank even further for she realized if Leah had just waited a little longer than she would still be alive and have her husband back and be his loving wife. It was Lexa who now would fill that role, take her sister Leah's place, but all Lexa wanted to do now was escape.

Last Chapter begins!

Lexa had gone to bed early Saturday night with Aphina tending to little Jason, she tried to reach her sister all day long, but all her calls went straight to voice mail. It was around nine when Lexa went back into her sister's room with a bottle of red wine to keep her company, yet even with the soothing caress of alcohol, Lexa found it hard to sleep this night. However, after she took two Nembutal Lexa drifted off to sleep a short while later. Finally sleeping peacefully Lexa was suddenly awoken by the sound of the front door opening then slamming shut downstairs. She opened her eyes, heart racing as she looked at the clock and saw it was a little after 3 o'clock in the morning, Lexa was relieved to hear the familiar sound of her sisters high heels, click, clicking across the marble floor coming up the grand staircase. "Thank God she's home." Lexa said letting out a sigh of relief as she heard her sister coming down the hall towards the bedroom. Lexa thought it odd that Leah would come home so early in the morning, she assumed things must have not gone well, and Leah had decided to drive back out to the Estate. "Sweetheart." Lexa whispered over to her sister whom, through the darkness, Lexa could see standing on the threshold of the chamber door. Lexa only could see the outline of Leah's long, slender body, her hair cascading down across her face and shoulders, her head was bowed as if in prayer, or shame, it was too dark in the night to make out which. Leah stood motionless, not making a sound, nor acknowledging her sister's voice in any way.
Suddenly Lexa felt the temperature in the room drop, it was early in the fall in Argentina but it was still very warm and humid, however now the air around her turned ice cold, and Lexa felt a chill permeate through her skin down deep into her bones. A rush of fear filled Lexa's senses and as she peered through the darkness, she wanted to reach over and switch on the light on the nightstand, but it was as if she was frozen in place, unable to move, or speak. Lexa closed her eyes for a moment, and in doing so she felt the presence of her sister sitting down on the edge of the bed. Lexa opened her eyes; which took a moment to adjust to the dimness of the space, where she noticed her sister sitting there beside her, but her head was still down and Lexa cold not see her face, an awful feeling of dread crept up into Lexa's head. This was a terrible strangeness, for here and now, she felt very uncomfortable in her own sister's presence, as if this woman was not her sister at all, but an impostor, a stranger. Unable to speak Lexa reached over for the light, without taking her eyes off of Leah, amidst the sudden flood of light she said in a voice as tense as wire "Leah, what happened to you?"
Slowly her sister lifted up her head and pulled her long curls of hair off her face and neck, then she looked up at her horrified sister with a death-dread stare, and Lexa let out a chilling scream as she saw the scarlet red, open, bloody wound where Leah's throat used to be, and there were blood stains on her dress, seeping from a hole in her stomach. Lexa covered her face with her hands, in shock and horror, and in the split second it took for her to open up her eyes and move towards her injured sister, Lexa found that there was no one there, she was all alone in the bedroom. Her sister had vanished in an instant. Now panic and fear can convince a human mind of all manners of impossibilities, so Lexa was absolutely convinced her sister was somewhere in the room, hurt and injured, hiding from her. Her heart racing Lexa set about trying to find her sister, the closet, the bathroom, the shower, under the bed, but Leah was no where to be found. Confused, terrified and frightened Lexa climbed back into bed, finished off the bottle of wine, then she laid back down to rest her weary head, as she cried herself to sleep so deep was the feeling of impeding doom.
No sooner had she nodded off a few hours later, around 7 o' clock in the morning Lexa was awoken by the sound of a desperate knocking upon the bedroom door. "Leah! Leah!" came Aphina's plaintiff wail "Wake up! Something terrible has happened!" Aphina said as she went ahead and opened the chamber door. Aphina was there tears streaming down her face, like water pouring down a mountain as Carlo stood next to his wife with a look of infinite sadness etched upon his worried face.
Lexa sat up in bed staring into old Carlo's eyes for answers and he said in a low, distraught voice "Leah, the police are here, the homicide investigators..,"
"What, I don't understand.?" Lexa said incredulous, not knowing why on Earth murder detectives would be downstairs, surely there must be some sort of mistake she said trying to convince her mind everything was fine, and that Leah would return home in a few hours, and everything would work out nice.
"I am so sorry to be the one to tell you this, but.., Leah..," Carlo paused as tears rolled down his cheeks "Lexa's body was discovered last night." here Carlo explained a few details of the incident, but all Lexa heard was a loud ringing in her ears, and she felt very dizzy, and nauseous, as a sharp stabbing pain came to her chest and she thought she was having a heart attack, but she was not it was just the shock. However when she heard these words come from Carlo's mouth she actually passed out when he said "She was shot in the stomach and throat." with this information Carlo watchd as his daughter-in-law Leah collapased to the floor with a most frightened look on her face, as if she had just seen a ghost.

End Chapter 29

Vanessa stared at the small caliber weapon, of which she was very familiar with, having practiced her aim and accuracy, many times, on paper targets at the shooting range, and she was well adept at hitting center body mass, and head shots, so she was comfortable holding the fully loaded pistol in her dainty little hand. Though an overwhelming desire overcame her, and she was extremely curious to see just how much damage a few .22 bullets would inflict upon a human being. Slowly she turned, inch by inch, she crept back down the long hallway, these thoughts coming to her as she walked. It seemed so strange to Vanessa, for the things in life that wear most people down, somehow, did not touch her, and this made her always feel wonderful, and unshakable. However now, with the sight and sounds of her husband engulfed in passion with some random American whore, in her matrimonially bed, left all, and everything, in her existence changed. Now Vanessa felt she had no choice but to show no mercy and ask for none. These insane thoughts of her mind were being whirled about, forwards and backwards, by her aching heart. She did not know why Camacho would continuously betray her love and trust. Of Unity, Loyalty, Respect and Honor, her husband had none. Why he would choose to deceive her so, Vanessa did not know, though upon the day of Final Judgement she would ask her husband for an explanation. As for now she calmly, without a word, stepped quietly into the room, going unnoticed as her husband had the whore on her back her ankles up over his shoulders as he plunged himself deeper inside his mistress. Standing three feet from him Vanessa took in a deep breath, keeping her shooting arm relaxed as she gently squeezed the trigger, not once but four times.
Within six seconds the damage inflicted upon Camacho was tremendous. Leah screamed as she witnessed his forehead exploded with a blast of blood, brain and shattered skull fragments. Leah shouted out in aginy, as the next explosion came ripping through his ribs and right lung as Leah, in utter, terror, confusion and panic felt the next shot enter her belly searing into her flesh with the most dreadful burning sensation, now her face, hair and breasts were dripping in the red, fresh blood of her lover, whom had collapsed on top of her and Leah could only scream, writhing in pain from her gunshot wound, trying to squirm out from underneath Camacho, who himself was just barely clinging to life, but the third shot to his heart put an end to him quickly.  Though Leah was not as fortunate.
In those last moments of her life, Leah realized what was happening as she saw Camacho's wife standing over the bed glowering down at Leah, her eyes as black as hate, as Leah screamed pleading for her life. "Shut your mouth you vicious slut!" Vanessa said as she shouted into the terrified woman's scarlet streaked face. Leah screamed louder so Vanessa took her left hand and covered the doomed whores mouth telling her in a loud, rich, clear voice, speaking to her in English "This is my house! This is my bed! You should have NEVER COME HERE TODAY!!" here Leah, trying anything to get away, she opened her mouth wide, biting Vanessa's fingers as hard as she could. "God Damn it!" Vanessa cried out with the shock of pain, this was all it took and in a nano-second she placed the muzzle of the gun up to Leah's throat and pulled the triggered.
The bullet ripped through her larynx, slicing through her vocal chords and Vanessa could look down into the scarlet stained, open wound, blood spewing forth from where her throat used to be. Vanessa actually began laughing when she saw little bubbles of blood, percolating up from her esophagus, as Leah tried to breathe. The pain and the agony was the most intense Leah would ever know and as she lay there dying. Leah thought of Xation and her son Jason knowing she would never see them again. Now it took our poor Leah a good ten minutes to die, slowly choking on her own blood, and in the silence of her last moments on Earth she offered up one final prayer to her Creator, imploring that he make sure her son would always be cared for, and looked after, and that her sister would be able to get along without her. She also prayed that the woman who took her life today, would someday pay. With the last gasps of breath escaping from her body, Leah's soul passed away into that deep abiding peace of eternal rest, leaving Vanessa left sitting on the bed in the gory, bloody mess, the grizzly murder scene of the two, dead, bullet riddled bodies, the silence was deafening, the sight was morbid and disgusting.
Vanessa sat on the edge of the bed over the next hour, which only seemed like minutes, as she gazed upon the ultimate destruction of flesh and blood, created from the violence of her hands. Now everything in her soul was black and sad, all dark shades of care, regret, desolation and fear manifested in her heart and mind. Her dark eyes were dim, cast over by a thousand shades of grey, her visage giving out the most painful reflection of hopelessness and despair, the struggle to exist with the knowledge of what she had now just done, and the blood on her hands, this horrible, homicidal action made Vanessa's will to live vanish in a haze of misery and doom, for now she knew well, and understood completely, how murder leads to insufferable damnation.
As for now, Vanessa was left to contemplate Life and Death, being left alone in the silence of human destruction. She found herself totally lost surrounded by the corpses and blood stained sheets, she was beside herself with grief, and such suffering, as her poor shattered mind had never known, or thought possible to conceive.., such murder, and madness. So Vanessa asked herself just one thing 'how far can I be from complete and total lunacy?'. To answer this question Vanessa clutched the weapon in her hand, laid herself out upon the bed, there beside the cold, bloodied body of her dead husband, and the stranger in her bed she had murdered. Then she pressed the pistol up to her temple, Vanessa took in a deep breath and her last words on Earth were "Perdoname Madre Maria.., hasta el momento de mi muerte." with this last prayer of supplication Vanessa squeezed the trigger as the bullet exploded out of the barrel of the gun and ricocheted through her brain.

Chapter 29 continues

Vanessa knew when she landed she was far too distraught, angry, and shaking to drive her own vehicle, so she left her car in the airport parking lot and hailed the first taxi cab she saw at the curbside of the terminal. Her palms were sweating profusely, her heart was racing, her mind reeling with all manners of adulterous visions, as she sat in the back seat rocking back and forth a little, her mouth was dry and she said nothing to her driver, other than to give him the address of her home; which she shared with her husband. It was a short twenty minute ride across the city to the marina and Vanessa dreaded each mile that brought her closer, because she knew what she would find. Sure enough, as the taxi pulled up across the street, Vanessa felt a deep sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach as she spied a little, silver convertible Mercedes parked in the driveway, of HER house, where she lived, for many years, with HER husband. Vanessa was so overcome by this sight she felt as if she were falling down, even though she was still seated. The driver tried to get her attention so she would pay the fare and get out of his cab, and when he turned to look at her, he saw all the color had drained from her face and she looked as if she had just seen a ghost.
She did not remember paying the driver, nor could she recall walking across the busy street full of morning day traffic and as she moved it seemed to her as if this all was happening to someone else, Vanessa almost felt as if she were viewing herself from above, as if she were watching herself in some dream, but no, this was a true nightmare of reality. Vanessa was not sure how she had entered the house, for she did not remember unlocking the door, or slowly closing it behind her as she crept down the hall so early on that Saturday morning. Inch by inch she walked down the corridor Vanessa's raw emotions were electrified by the sound of a woman's voice, an American woman's voice saying in ecstasy "Oh Camacho, fuck me harder!"
The next moment was crucial. Vanessa had two choices, confront her husband and his American whore in her bed.., or turn around and walk away. However, Jealousy is a harsh and cruel master which had her heart locked in it's iron fist, so all of her bitterness, and vengeful anger, surpassed all of her reason and Vanessa continued to walk on down the hall. Then she came to her bedroom door, and she looked inside. Shock, shock, horror, horror, shock, shock, horror! There, in her bed, the bed she shared with her husband, Vanessa found Camacho mounted atop a young woman, her knees up and she was moaning with his delight, though the two devils did not notice Vanessa standing there. Mortified Vanessa stepped back towards the threshold of the doorway, her eyes as wide as saucers, her shaking hands covering her mouth, and for the first time in her life she found she could not speak. Though she tried to cry out, to make them stop, but when she attempted to form the words, no sound would come. Vanessa's fragile mind was so traumatized by the salacious sight of her naked husband thrusting himself, joyously, in and out of his whore, the two of them breathing hard, sweating, sticky, kissing and licking each other. Vanessa was disgusted she went out into the hall feeling as if she would vomit. In silence, her mind ever darkening, Vanessa went back the way she came, tears streaming down her face, as she took in short, quick breaths trying her best not to make a sound. As Vanessa made her way to the kitchen, where she kept her gun, a strange stream of consciousness flooded her thoughts and as if her mind wanted her to remember.
The logic came in a loud thunder in her brain, like lightning flashing across the sky. Vanessa remember her existence, thus far,  being the pampered wife of a rich and famous man, had given her very little opportunity for fury. So it was Vanessa gave up her will to the rapture of the malevolent hatred in her heart; which demanded of her that these two devils must die TODAY! Such was the vile bitterness in her soul and it is not right that any woman should be forced to endure such humiliation, at anytime of her life. Oh the World would be a more tranquil place, if adulterous men, and women, would not come in and break it up, very often, the love which a faithful spouse does cherish. Though this was Vanessa's fate, to have her faith in her husband shaken to it's foundation, leaving the shell of their marriage in ruins.
It was a little pearl handle .22 her husband had purchased for her, to keep at the house so she would feel safe when she was alone, while Camacho was away. She kept it in a cigar box on top of the refrigerator. Now Vanessa did not know how she wound up in the kitchen at the table with the gun in her hand, she could still hear the cries of pleasure emanating from her bedroom, and now Vanessa realized she could not, nor understand any longer, or recall, such words as: feelings, compassion and understanding, tears, love, joy, fear, unity, mercy or pity, longing, faith or God. Her heart had become like that of a savage, blood-thirsty beast, Vanessa believed now she herself was like a wild, ferocious, man-eating tiger, she was sharp of tooth and claw. She wanted revenge and nothing more.
