More of Last Chapter

"Charles?" Lexa said as he entered the dimly lit room, he had taken to dying his hair black and wearing brown contact lenses since moving back to America {this was to help disguise his appearance as he was still wanted by the Department of Justice, F.B.I. and D.E.A., not to mention the District Attorney's office back in Chicago} but Lexa did not know this and she almost did not recognize her friend. "You look so.., different, why have you dyed your hair.., and your eyes.., look so strange, not the briliant shade of blue I remember." she commented as she came near, seeing he was in great distress.
"Oh Leah!" Charles said his eyes reddened by previous tears "I can not believe what has happened to our poor Lexa!" the level of his disparity coming through in the sorrowful tone of his voice. The two embraced tightly sobbing on one another's shoulder, and it felt good for Lexa to feel his arms around her again. Then Charles said close to her ear, and she could feel his hot breath on her neck, confessing "Oh God! Leah. God help me, but I think this is all my fault."
Here Lexa let loose and stood back looking Charles in his tear filled eyes. "What? That's impossible!"
"Don't you understand? I was so in love with her! I should have married her, like I had wanted to in the first place." Charles confided to Leah, but of course, he like, all the rest, believed he was speaking with Leah, it was only Lexa who knew Leah was dead. So, unkowing, Charles poured his heart out to the woman he had loved and had dreamt of marrying. "I loved her so much, and now I can never tell her how I really feel." Charles lamented.
Lexa was stunned by this revelation, for Charles had never discussed the subject of marriage with her, except durning the fight with Bengiman when Charles declared he would never marry her. Lexa let go of Charles as she took a step back sitting on the edge of the bed, she was very dizzy and felt faint. Charles lent a hand and helped her, sitting next to her, then she turned to him and said "Charles, is that true? Did you want to marry my sister?
"Yes." he said with a nod of his head.
"Did you ever tell her this?" she asked waiting to see if he would tell a lie.
"No." Charles replied sadly shaking his head.
"Why?" Lexa asked wiping away a few tears from his eyes.
"I was going to but..," he sighed staring down at the floor ashamed by his behavior.
     "But what?"
"The last time I saw her, that day when I found out about her and.., Bengiman" Charles uttered his name, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. "Before that day.., of the fight.., you know I would have forgiven her of anything, anything in the world.., but when I found out she had been with.., him.., so many times.., it was just too much to take. So my bitterness and jealousy and anger got in the way of the true love I had for her.., And if I could have been more forgiving, more understanding, I would still have her beside me, she would be my wife, our poor, sweet Lexa, would still be alive." Charles said with the weight of his guilt- ridden, painful emotions heaped upon him with undeniable misery.
Lexa felt her heart melt like wax over a flame, for his proffession of his love for her had touched upon her very deeply, and she herself still loved Charles and had never really stopped. "Sweetheart! It is not your fault, there was nothing you could have done, don't blame yourself for what might have been." here Lexa put her arms around him, to give her beloved a little comfort, to give his mind ease. "Ssh, ssh, Charles, there, there, listen to me." she said in a soft gentle voice as she held back her own tears telling him "I want you to know that Lexa forgives you, of anything you feel you have done to wrong her, or for any unkind words you have said."
"How do you know she forgives me?" Charles lamented resting his weary head upon Leah's shoulder.
"Oh my dear, sweet, suffering Charles.., I know she forgives you..," here Lexa felt the overwhelming urge to tell Charles all, that it was really she, Lexa, that was still alive, that it was Leah who was dead. However, a stronger desire to keep her secret safe, and protect her life, surpassed all her reasons to tell him the truth, so she contiued "because Charles.., I forgive you." with these words she turned her head toward him and gave him a liitle kiss on his tear stained cheek.
"Leah.., you are so kind to me." Charles said as he sat up putting his arms around her and giving her a litlle squeeze, then, when he looked into her bright green eyes, it seemed so strange to him, for she had the familiar face of his dearly departed Lexa, and he said to her "It is just so hard to look at you, you look just like her." now for one brief second, as the two sat on the edge of the bed together, embracing one another, face to face, eye to eye, a feeling surged up between them, in that split second the love between them was physicaly expressed with a short, exquisite kiss. Then reality set in "Oh God! Leah, I am so sorry, please forgive me, I should not have., I.., you look just like her." Charles said as he leapt up from the bed, with an erection so hard you could cut diamonds with it. "Oh, please! Do not tell Xation, he would kill me."
"I won't tell him, I promise.., I just want you to do one thing for me." Lexa said glad the kiss had happened, in more ways then one, for his action would prove to be most advantageous to her needs "I want you to give me some morphine..,"
     Charles looked horrified "I..?"
"I need something strong for my migraines, my depression, my stress and anxiety!" Lexa said as she stood up reaching out for him in desperation "After what has happened! Charles.., did you know they showed me the crime scene photo? I had to identify her, she was shot through the throat, nearly to the point of decaptation! God damn it!" here she collapesed back on the bed in a heap of misery and tears with flashes of the image of her murdered sister, our poor Lexa could still see the gory image even when she closed her eyes.
Charles looked down at the wretched sight of this woman in mourning, this was his friend, the sister of his beloved. Now Charles had lost much of that which was inside him, and that was kindness, goodness and love. However there still remained, alive and well, somewhere insdie him such emotions as compassion, and mercy and pity. So he sat next to his dispirited friend holding her once again, gently rocking her back and forth lightly in his arms "There, there, my darling, I will give you what ever you need to numb yourself to this tragedy and misery. Though morphine is too dangerous.., I think, instead, I will give you a nice dose of Thorazine."
"Charles, I want you to promise you will keep me so doped up I won't even remember the next few days, I don't think I can handle going to the funeral.., this is just all too much to take" her words were all full of desperation and disparity and it hurt his heart to hear "I don't think I will have the strength and courage to go and say goodbye to.., her."
"Hush, hush., of course you will have the courage, I will see to that., and I promise I will do wahtever it takes to help you make it through these next few dark days." Charles said doing his best to reassure her. Although our Charles was basically devoid of any realtionship with his Lord, he offered up a silent prayer to his God, just the same, begging for him to send his love to his Lexa in heaven, and asking for the strength and wisdom to take care of Leah during this time of endless sadness and pain.

Last Chapter continues

Lexa did not recall much of the next ten hours, for after she had gone down stairs, and spoken alone with the lead investigator, Lexa had went straight to her room downstairs utterly devastated and spiraling down, falling into the deepest pit of depression she had ever known. She had sat in the old rocking chair by her bed still dressed in one of her sister's nightgowns, Leah's wedding ring still around her finger, she was still smelling of her sisters perfume, all part of the ruse, but now the story was not over, Lexa was still perceived as Leah, no one knew of the deception. Even when Lexa was alone with the detective she could have easily opened up her mouth and explained the situation to the police, tell them it was Leah who was deceased, and not she. However, when Lexa was shown one of the crime scene photo's, so she could positively identify the body, Lexa was so terrified of the repercussions from Xation, if he ever found out about the truth of the matter, she told the police that it WAS her twin sister Lexa Hale whom was having an affair with the boxer and had been shot dead in the murder suicide. As she thought back on the events of the morning Lexa remembered the detective said he would send her sister's purse back to her in the mail, he had also handed over the keys to the little Mercedes and gave her the address of the impound lot where it could be picked up later.
So Lexa sat in the stillness of her bedroom, rocking back and forth in silence, holding the keys to the convertible, her mind clearly seeing the face of her dead sister in the photograph. Oh how she wished the police did not have to show her that. Lexa felt so dead and numb inside, you could have stabbed her with a knife and she would not have felt it. In misery she sat up, wide awake for hours, as the sun passed from day into night, casting long dark shadows across the walls and floor. Hours were like minutes to her now, for Lexa was so far lost on the path to certain madness. It was around half past ten, in the p.m. when there came a tap, tapping upon her bedroom door, now she had heard these knocks all day long, but all of her in-laws pleas to open the door went ignored. However, Lexa leapt up to her feet when she heard Xation speaking loudly from out in the hall. "Leah.., sweetheart.., it's your husband, Xation, I have come to take care of you my darling." Xation said in gentle, calm voice, as if her were speaking to a severely traumatized child. "Open the door for me my angel.., please."
Lexa flew over to the door in a flash, her mind racing, her heart aching, and she knew she had to go on under false pretenses, and still pretend to be her sister, until there came such a time she was able to escape. "Xation?" came her voice as she slowly turned the latch, unlocking the door to him. "Come in."
Here Xation looked down at the tear stained face of his wife, her eyes red and swollen from hours of endless crying, lamenting and weeping, this touched a nerve of empathy in Xation's heart and he was completely devastated to see his wife suffering so, with the loss of her beloved sister "Oh my Leah," Xation said as tears began to well up, with a lump in his throat, as he continued he embraced his heart-broken wife "I am so sorry this happened, it is not right. Come let me get you upstairs to our room, mother tells me you have been locked up in Lexa's room all day and night." Xation said as he put an arm around her trying to escort his wife from her dead sister's bedroom.
Suddenly his wife turned quickly from his grip and hissed "No! I want to be close to her!" Now this was not the truth, for the fact of the matter was that since she learned of Leah's murder and the strange encounter, or dream she had, of her murdered sister, just hours before the police came, this was enough to terrify Lexa, and she did not want to ever step foot in Leah's bedroom again. "Oh, Xation! Can't you just leave me lone for a little while longer?" she pleaded as she squirmed from his hands.
Xation looked at the absolute terror in his wife's eyes and he realized just how delicate and fragile Leah's mind was following the aftermath of Lexa's murder, so he took in a calm breath then gave his wife a sympathetic smile. "Very well, my darling, I will not force you to do anything.., right now.., you need to be allowed to grieve, in peace, but you must know everyone has come to see you."
"Who? Who has come with you?" Lexa said suddenly feeling agitated by the information.
"Well," Xation said as he motioned for his wife to sit in the rocking chair, he sitting on the edge of the bed as he reached across, lovingly holding her hand Xation said "Serena and Hays came down form Texas, and Charles is here as well. Your parents, aunt and cousins will be here in the morning and Felina is on her way."
"Oh." she replied a blank look on her face, showing no emotion "That was very nice of them to come.., Lexa would be very happy to see them all again."
"Yes.., but they would all like very much to come and see you, just to say hello, if that is all right by you." Xation said hoping she would agree.
"Oh, no.., I look a mess, perhaps in the morning after I have had a bath." she said rubbing her temples as the pain in her head returned once again.
Xation noticed his wife wincing "Sweetheart are you okay, is it one of your migraines again?" he asked worried the stress and trauma of this metal anguish was too much for Leah to take.
"Yes." Lexa confessed for she too suffered from migraine headaches just like her sister.
"Then you should at least let Charles come in here and examine you, get you some medicine to help calm your nerves." Xation gave a concerned look brushing a long golden curl off his wife's face.
Now Lexa thought that was a capital idea for she hoped Charles might be kind enough as to give her some morphine to help ease her mind and body into sleep. "Yes, thank you Xation, tell Charles I will see him now." Lexa said as she leaned over giving Xation a little kiss on the cheek. "I am sorry you have to see me like this, I just haven't felt myself today."
"Oh Leah you do not have to apologize to me, but for now I will leave you be, I want to go see our baby, I have missed both of you so much.., and I.., I am sorry I was not here for you this morning." Xation gave his wife a sincere look of regret and said "Leah., I just want you to know that after the funeral I am taking you and Jason back to Texas with me. The house is finally ready, everything is set up and ready to go. We will never have to be apart, like we have been, ever again. I will always be right by your side, my love, every day and night." Xation said truly happy to be moving his family up to Dallas very soon.
Here Lexa's heart sank even further for she realized if Leah had just waited a little longer than she would still be alive and have her husband back and be his loving wife. It was Lexa who now would fill that role, take her sister Leah's place, but all Lexa wanted to do now was escape.

Last Chapter begins!

Lexa had gone to bed early Saturday night with Aphina tending to little Jason, she tried to reach her sister all day long, but all her calls went straight to voice mail. It was around nine when Lexa went back into her sister's room with a bottle of red wine to keep her company, yet even with the soothing caress of alcohol, Lexa found it hard to sleep this night. However, after she took two Nembutal Lexa drifted off to sleep a short while later. Finally sleeping peacefully Lexa was suddenly awoken by the sound of the front door opening then slamming shut downstairs. She opened her eyes, heart racing as she looked at the clock and saw it was a little after 3 o'clock in the morning, Lexa was relieved to hear the familiar sound of her sisters high heels, click, clicking across the marble floor coming up the grand staircase. "Thank God she's home." Lexa said letting out a sigh of relief as she heard her sister coming down the hall towards the bedroom. Lexa thought it odd that Leah would come home so early in the morning, she assumed things must have not gone well, and Leah had decided to drive back out to the Estate. "Sweetheart." Lexa whispered over to her sister whom, through the darkness, Lexa could see standing on the threshold of the chamber door. Lexa only could see the outline of Leah's long, slender body, her hair cascading down across her face and shoulders, her head was bowed as if in prayer, or shame, it was too dark in the night to make out which. Leah stood motionless, not making a sound, nor acknowledging her sister's voice in any way.
Suddenly Lexa felt the temperature in the room drop, it was early in the fall in Argentina but it was still very warm and humid, however now the air around her turned ice cold, and Lexa felt a chill permeate through her skin down deep into her bones. A rush of fear filled Lexa's senses and as she peered through the darkness, she wanted to reach over and switch on the light on the nightstand, but it was as if she was frozen in place, unable to move, or speak. Lexa closed her eyes for a moment, and in doing so she felt the presence of her sister sitting down on the edge of the bed. Lexa opened her eyes; which took a moment to adjust to the dimness of the space, where she noticed her sister sitting there beside her, but her head was still down and Lexa cold not see her face, an awful feeling of dread crept up into Lexa's head. This was a terrible strangeness, for here and now, she felt very uncomfortable in her own sister's presence, as if this woman was not her sister at all, but an impostor, a stranger. Unable to speak Lexa reached over for the light, without taking her eyes off of Leah, amidst the sudden flood of light she said in a voice as tense as wire "Leah, what happened to you?"
Slowly her sister lifted up her head and pulled her long curls of hair off her face and neck, then she looked up at her horrified sister with a death-dread stare, and Lexa let out a chilling scream as she saw the scarlet red, open, bloody wound where Leah's throat used to be, and there were blood stains on her dress, seeping from a hole in her stomach. Lexa covered her face with her hands, in shock and horror, and in the split second it took for her to open up her eyes and move towards her injured sister, Lexa found that there was no one there, she was all alone in the bedroom. Her sister had vanished in an instant. Now panic and fear can convince a human mind of all manners of impossibilities, so Lexa was absolutely convinced her sister was somewhere in the room, hurt and injured, hiding from her. Her heart racing Lexa set about trying to find her sister, the closet, the bathroom, the shower, under the bed, but Leah was no where to be found. Confused, terrified and frightened Lexa climbed back into bed, finished off the bottle of wine, then she laid back down to rest her weary head, as she cried herself to sleep so deep was the feeling of impeding doom.
No sooner had she nodded off a few hours later, around 7 o' clock in the morning Lexa was awoken by the sound of a desperate knocking upon the bedroom door. "Leah! Leah!" came Aphina's plaintiff wail "Wake up! Something terrible has happened!" Aphina said as she went ahead and opened the chamber door. Aphina was there tears streaming down her face, like water pouring down a mountain as Carlo stood next to his wife with a look of infinite sadness etched upon his worried face.
Lexa sat up in bed staring into old Carlo's eyes for answers and he said in a low, distraught voice "Leah, the police are here, the homicide investigators..,"
"What, I don't understand.?" Lexa said incredulous, not knowing why on Earth murder detectives would be downstairs, surely there must be some sort of mistake she said trying to convince her mind everything was fine, and that Leah would return home in a few hours, and everything would work out nice.
"I am so sorry to be the one to tell you this, but.., Leah..," Carlo paused as tears rolled down his cheeks "Lexa's body was discovered last night." here Carlo explained a few details of the incident, but all Lexa heard was a loud ringing in her ears, and she felt very dizzy, and nauseous, as a sharp stabbing pain came to her chest and she thought she was having a heart attack, but she was not it was just the shock. However when she heard these words come from Carlo's mouth she actually passed out when he said "She was shot in the stomach and throat." with this information Carlo watchd as his daughter-in-law Leah collapased to the floor with a most frightened look on her face, as if she had just seen a ghost.

End Chapter 29

Vanessa stared at the small caliber weapon, of which she was very familiar with, having practiced her aim and accuracy, many times, on paper targets at the shooting range, and she was well adept at hitting center body mass, and head shots, so she was comfortable holding the fully loaded pistol in her dainty little hand. Though an overwhelming desire overcame her, and she was extremely curious to see just how much damage a few .22 bullets would inflict upon a human being. Slowly she turned, inch by inch, she crept back down the long hallway, these thoughts coming to her as she walked. It seemed so strange to Vanessa, for the things in life that wear most people down, somehow, did not touch her, and this made her always feel wonderful, and unshakable. However now, with the sight and sounds of her husband engulfed in passion with some random American whore, in her matrimonially bed, left all, and everything, in her existence changed. Now Vanessa felt she had no choice but to show no mercy and ask for none. These insane thoughts of her mind were being whirled about, forwards and backwards, by her aching heart. She did not know why Camacho would continuously betray her love and trust. Of Unity, Loyalty, Respect and Honor, her husband had none. Why he would choose to deceive her so, Vanessa did not know, though upon the day of Final Judgement she would ask her husband for an explanation. As for now she calmly, without a word, stepped quietly into the room, going unnoticed as her husband had the whore on her back her ankles up over his shoulders as he plunged himself deeper inside his mistress. Standing three feet from him Vanessa took in a deep breath, keeping her shooting arm relaxed as she gently squeezed the trigger, not once but four times.
Within six seconds the damage inflicted upon Camacho was tremendous. Leah screamed as she witnessed his forehead exploded with a blast of blood, brain and shattered skull fragments. Leah shouted out in aginy, as the next explosion came ripping through his ribs and right lung as Leah, in utter, terror, confusion and panic felt the next shot enter her belly searing into her flesh with the most dreadful burning sensation, now her face, hair and breasts were dripping in the red, fresh blood of her lover, whom had collapsed on top of her and Leah could only scream, writhing in pain from her gunshot wound, trying to squirm out from underneath Camacho, who himself was just barely clinging to life, but the third shot to his heart put an end to him quickly.  Though Leah was not as fortunate.
In those last moments of her life, Leah realized what was happening as she saw Camacho's wife standing over the bed glowering down at Leah, her eyes as black as hate, as Leah screamed pleading for her life. "Shut your mouth you vicious slut!" Vanessa said as she shouted into the terrified woman's scarlet streaked face. Leah screamed louder so Vanessa took her left hand and covered the doomed whores mouth telling her in a loud, rich, clear voice, speaking to her in English "This is my house! This is my bed! You should have NEVER COME HERE TODAY!!" here Leah, trying anything to get away, she opened her mouth wide, biting Vanessa's fingers as hard as she could. "God Damn it!" Vanessa cried out with the shock of pain, this was all it took and in a nano-second she placed the muzzle of the gun up to Leah's throat and pulled the triggered.
The bullet ripped through her larynx, slicing through her vocal chords and Vanessa could look down into the scarlet stained, open wound, blood spewing forth from where her throat used to be. Vanessa actually began laughing when she saw little bubbles of blood, percolating up from her esophagus, as Leah tried to breathe. The pain and the agony was the most intense Leah would ever know and as she lay there dying. Leah thought of Xation and her son Jason knowing she would never see them again. Now it took our poor Leah a good ten minutes to die, slowly choking on her own blood, and in the silence of her last moments on Earth she offered up one final prayer to her Creator, imploring that he make sure her son would always be cared for, and looked after, and that her sister would be able to get along without her. She also prayed that the woman who took her life today, would someday pay. With the last gasps of breath escaping from her body, Leah's soul passed away into that deep abiding peace of eternal rest, leaving Vanessa left sitting on the bed in the gory, bloody mess, the grizzly murder scene of the two, dead, bullet riddled bodies, the silence was deafening, the sight was morbid and disgusting.
Vanessa sat on the edge of the bed over the next hour, which only seemed like minutes, as she gazed upon the ultimate destruction of flesh and blood, created from the violence of her hands. Now everything in her soul was black and sad, all dark shades of care, regret, desolation and fear manifested in her heart and mind. Her dark eyes were dim, cast over by a thousand shades of grey, her visage giving out the most painful reflection of hopelessness and despair, the struggle to exist with the knowledge of what she had now just done, and the blood on her hands, this horrible, homicidal action made Vanessa's will to live vanish in a haze of misery and doom, for now she knew well, and understood completely, how murder leads to insufferable damnation.
As for now, Vanessa was left to contemplate Life and Death, being left alone in the silence of human destruction. She found herself totally lost surrounded by the corpses and blood stained sheets, she was beside herself with grief, and such suffering, as her poor shattered mind had never known, or thought possible to conceive.., such murder, and madness. So Vanessa asked herself just one thing 'how far can I be from complete and total lunacy?'. To answer this question Vanessa clutched the weapon in her hand, laid herself out upon the bed, there beside the cold, bloodied body of her dead husband, and the stranger in her bed she had murdered. Then she pressed the pistol up to her temple, Vanessa took in a deep breath and her last words on Earth were "Perdoname Madre Maria.., hasta el momento de mi muerte." with this last prayer of supplication Vanessa squeezed the trigger as the bullet exploded out of the barrel of the gun and ricocheted through her brain.

Chapter 29 continues

Vanessa knew when she landed she was far too distraught, angry, and shaking to drive her own vehicle, so she left her car in the airport parking lot and hailed the first taxi cab she saw at the curbside of the terminal. Her palms were sweating profusely, her heart was racing, her mind reeling with all manners of adulterous visions, as she sat in the back seat rocking back and forth a little, her mouth was dry and she said nothing to her driver, other than to give him the address of her home; which she shared with her husband. It was a short twenty minute ride across the city to the marina and Vanessa dreaded each mile that brought her closer, because she knew what she would find. Sure enough, as the taxi pulled up across the street, Vanessa felt a deep sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach as she spied a little, silver convertible Mercedes parked in the driveway, of HER house, where she lived, for many years, with HER husband. Vanessa was so overcome by this sight she felt as if she were falling down, even though she was still seated. The driver tried to get her attention so she would pay the fare and get out of his cab, and when he turned to look at her, he saw all the color had drained from her face and she looked as if she had just seen a ghost.
She did not remember paying the driver, nor could she recall walking across the busy street full of morning day traffic and as she moved it seemed to her as if this all was happening to someone else, Vanessa almost felt as if she were viewing herself from above, as if she were watching herself in some dream, but no, this was a true nightmare of reality. Vanessa was not sure how she had entered the house, for she did not remember unlocking the door, or slowly closing it behind her as she crept down the hall so early on that Saturday morning. Inch by inch she walked down the corridor Vanessa's raw emotions were electrified by the sound of a woman's voice, an American woman's voice saying in ecstasy "Oh Camacho, fuck me harder!"
The next moment was crucial. Vanessa had two choices, confront her husband and his American whore in her bed.., or turn around and walk away. However, Jealousy is a harsh and cruel master which had her heart locked in it's iron fist, so all of her bitterness, and vengeful anger, surpassed all of her reason and Vanessa continued to walk on down the hall. Then she came to her bedroom door, and she looked inside. Shock, shock, horror, horror, shock, shock, horror! There, in her bed, the bed she shared with her husband, Vanessa found Camacho mounted atop a young woman, her knees up and she was moaning with his delight, though the two devils did not notice Vanessa standing there. Mortified Vanessa stepped back towards the threshold of the doorway, her eyes as wide as saucers, her shaking hands covering her mouth, and for the first time in her life she found she could not speak. Though she tried to cry out, to make them stop, but when she attempted to form the words, no sound would come. Vanessa's fragile mind was so traumatized by the salacious sight of her naked husband thrusting himself, joyously, in and out of his whore, the two of them breathing hard, sweating, sticky, kissing and licking each other. Vanessa was disgusted she went out into the hall feeling as if she would vomit. In silence, her mind ever darkening, Vanessa went back the way she came, tears streaming down her face, as she took in short, quick breaths trying her best not to make a sound. As Vanessa made her way to the kitchen, where she kept her gun, a strange stream of consciousness flooded her thoughts and as if her mind wanted her to remember.
The logic came in a loud thunder in her brain, like lightning flashing across the sky. Vanessa remember her existence, thus far,  being the pampered wife of a rich and famous man, had given her very little opportunity for fury. So it was Vanessa gave up her will to the rapture of the malevolent hatred in her heart; which demanded of her that these two devils must die TODAY! Such was the vile bitterness in her soul and it is not right that any woman should be forced to endure such humiliation, at anytime of her life. Oh the World would be a more tranquil place, if adulterous men, and women, would not come in and break it up, very often, the love which a faithful spouse does cherish. Though this was Vanessa's fate, to have her faith in her husband shaken to it's foundation, leaving the shell of their marriage in ruins.
It was a little pearl handle .22 her husband had purchased for her, to keep at the house so she would feel safe when she was alone, while Camacho was away. She kept it in a cigar box on top of the refrigerator. Now Vanessa did not know how she wound up in the kitchen at the table with the gun in her hand, she could still hear the cries of pleasure emanating from her bedroom, and now Vanessa realized she could not, nor understand any longer, or recall, such words as: feelings, compassion and understanding, tears, love, joy, fear, unity, mercy or pity, longing, faith or God. Her heart had become like that of a savage, blood-thirsty beast, Vanessa believed now she herself was like a wild, ferocious, man-eating tiger, she was sharp of tooth and claw. She wanted revenge and nothing more.

More Chapter 29

"Sister dear, I'm here." Leah's voice came over the phone about an hour or so later.
"Where are you?" Lexa asked wondering if she had been foolish enough to bring Camacho to Xation's family villa in the city.
"Oh God, I'm at his house, it is magnificent, right on the ocean, by the Marina, he's going to take me out sailing on his boat this afternoon, I am so glad I brought., your, bikini's!" Leah informed her sister with a great lightness and elan to her voice.
"His house!?" Lexa replied worried "Where the fuck is his wife?"
"Oh don't worry.., she's in Santiago, apparently her brother was in a motorcycle accident yesterday, she won't be back for days.., and I am leaving Sunday morning.., so everything will be fine." Leah tried to reassure her sister and quell any trepidation Lexa might be feeling.
"Okay.., well, have a good time, put on plenty of sunscreen, you burn easily out on the open water." Lexa reminded her.
"Thanks mom." the two sisters had a little laugh together and then Leah said "I love you, see ya on Sunday."
"Love ya too, see you Sunday sweetheart." Lexa hung up the phone and settled back down in Leah's bed not realizing those would be the last words she ever said to her twin sister.
So it was, the day passed for Leah and Camacho out on the warm South Atlantic, it was a glorious afternoon filled with sunshine, fresh seafood, cold champagne, strawberries and grapes. The amorous, adulterous couple enjoyed the fresh ocean air, the calm waters and each other's company. Later, below deck, with the captain at the helm, Camacho took Leah into the little cabin where the two stripped off each others swim wear, exposing the brown and white parts of their bodies, where the sun had not shone upon their skin, where each took in the extreme, exquisite pleasure of each other's mouth and flesh, giving in to their lustful sin. And, once, again the pair had succeeded in betraying their spouses without a care for the sanctity of the vows they had sworn before God, family and friends. The concept of Unity, Loyalty, Respect, and Honor meant absolutely nothing to them now. Such is the way of the world, filled with all the empty, foolish, heartless people who exist merely to dwell in it from day to day. But in truth, Camacho did not give a fuck about his wife, nor his vows, or her feelings, all he cared about was satisfying his rapacious, desirous urges and Leah was no different then he, and any thoughts she had of loyalty to Xation were as far away from her mind as the sun was from the moon.
It was a wonderful day for the duo sailing along the coast line of Argentina for hours and they did not make it back to Camacho's house until just after sunset. The two went into the home Camacho shared with his wife of three years, Vanessa; whom was beside herself with grief at the bedside of her younger brother whose left leg was injured so badly in the high speed crash, it had to be amputated just above the knee. However, Camacho was not aware of this because he had turned his mobile phone off, and his distraught wife could not get through to him all day long. Now when Camacho returned to his spacious home he deliberately unplugged all the telephones in the house, as not to be disturbed, so he could enjoy his new mistress, Leah, in peace. Leah, as well as Camacho, were exhausted from their long afternoon out on the water, swimming in the ocean, rolling in the deep, between the sheets. They decided to take a long, hot shower together to get nice and clean. Leah was so enraptured by Camacho's charm, charisma, and indeed his very existence, she got down on her knees before him through the heat, water and steam where she took him in her mouth, long, hard and deep. Now this is something his wife would NEVER, ever, under any circumstance do to him, or for him, and this is one of the reasons Camacho had been much displeased in his marriage to Vanessa. However, this woman, Leah, the wife of another man knew just what to do to bring him fully to the desire he so wished to please. After a few more heated moments of mutual pleasure the pair collapsed on his massive bed in a weary heap of spent flesh, it was nice to lie together with each other on top of the crisp cool sheets, the gentle breeze of the ceiling fan chilling their sunburned skin. Then Camacho, his arms around Leah said "Let's get under the covers and watch a movie before we go to bed." this was something he always did with his wife and Camacho had a vast collection of movies on video cassette and a big screen t.v.
"What shall we see?" Leah asked with a warm glance and a gentle smile, her bright green eyes lit up like dazzling emeralds.
"Have you heard of this new director, Quentin Tarantino?" he asked going straight to the video he wanted to watch.
Leah gave a puzzled look and answered honestly "I don't know much about films, or directors."
"True Romance!" Camacho said as he slipped the video into the v.c.r. "It came out last year. This guy, Tarantino, he's amazing!" Camacho said as he pressed play then elucidated " The story is shocking and violent..,  a modern day love story, kinda like Bonnie and Clyde, but much better, cause none of this ever really happened.., or did it?" Camacho gave a sly smirk and the two laughed as they curled up in bed together, turned off the lights, and watched the film, never realizing it would be the last movie they wold ever see.
Meanwhile back at the hospital in Santiago, Vanessa was growing more and more angry by the minute, for she needed her husband to be there for her during this great tragedy in her family, but his mobile phone went straight to voice mail, he had not returned the 37 messages she had left for him, nor did he return the 25 text messages she kept sending, and now when she tried to call their home, the phone just kept ringing and ringing and ringing, the answering machine did not pick up and she knew that could only mean one thing, her husband had unplugged the phones, so the machine never was activated. Now a great panic rose up in her wounded heart, for Vanessa was well aware of her husband's mistresses, and his numerous affairs, but due to her great affection for him, and because of his great wealth and fortune, she had looked the other way, but they had an arrangement, an agreement between them, that he would NEVER bring one of his whores back to their home, where she lived and had shared her bed with her husband. Now Vanessa feared the worse and she told her mother so, though Vanessa's mother told her daughter not to worry, to focus her attention on helping her brother cope with this disaster, but no matter how hard Vanessa tried she could not get her mind off the thought of some random whore sleeping in her bed. For when she closed her eyes that was all she could see as she tossed and turned in her hotel bed, trying to go to sleep. However, when Vanessa's mother came to wake her for breakfast before they were to return to the hospital, she found Vanessa had checked out hours earlier, and was now just arriving at the airport, a little after 7 o'clock that Saturday morning, in Buenos Aires, her heart was racing and her thoughts left her in a panicked state nearing homicidal rage.

Chapter 29 begins

Now the next morning, bright and early, Leah had gone down into Lexa's room, packing up a little overnight bag with her sister's clothes, shoes, make-up, sundries and the like. Leah put on one of Lexa's  sexy little sundresses, and a pair of her red high heels, with straps around the ankles, Leah removed her wedding ring and handed it to Lexa, telling her. "This is just until Sunday, and then everything will go back to normal." Lexa slipped the expensive, rare diamond ring on her finger, as she had done in the past, but that was just for a laugh, but now Lexa would have to wait for two days before she would have to give it back, all part of the elaborate charade the twins were creating. So it was, Lexa gave over her own jewelry, handbag, identification, phone, keys to her car etc... during this exchange Lexa could not help feel uneasy, knowing this was going to be mistake. However, it was the sheer delight and sparkle in Leah's gleaming, green eyes, that Lexa had not seen in a long time, for Leah was so full of excitement ready for a little forbidden romantic adventure; which made Lexa keep her peace and hold her tongue. With much worry, Lexa put on her sister's night gown, robe and slippers then the two went upstairs to Leah's room where the two sat on the edge of the bed, Leah holding her son in her arms, lovingly kissing him on the forehead, stroking his silken, wispy strands of jet black hair.
"Now you be a good boy for mommy, my little angel, I will be back in a few days." Leah said not realizing this would be the last time she ever would hold her child again. With a gentle kiss Leah gave her boy over to her dear, sweet, non-judgemental sister telling her "Thank you so much! I need to get away so bad.., before I go mad.., and, well.., I could not do this, without you." Leah said hugging them both in her arms.
"We will be fine, there is plenty of formula in the 'fridge, now go on.., hurry before I change my mind." Lexa said as she was just about to call off the whole agreement, but she did not. "Just promise me you will be back here on Sunday."
"I promise, sister dear, you will see me again on Sunday." Leah said with a warm gentle smile "And besides.., when have I ever broken a promise to you?"
Here Lexa felt for a quick moment as though a deep piece of her soul had been touched with warmth and love by her sister's devotion to her and Leah opened up her mouth and said "Never."
"That's right sweetheart.., never." Leah reminded Lexa, who gave her a kiss on the cheek, trying her best to look pleased, but she was not, quite the contrary. Here Lexa had one last moment to stop everything, but Lexa remained silent then Leah said  "So enjoy your time with Jason, I am sure he will be more than enough to keep you busy.., but remember, Aphina and Carlo are here, and they love to take care of him too, so you can always sleep in.., if you want to."
"No, I think it will be fun to be you, just for a day or two, though I am sure I will be more than happy to hand him back over to you.., soon!" Lexa laughed knowing that caring for six month old baby was a monumental task, in and of itself, indeed, but Lexa could handle it, and her sister knew she was leaving her son in capable hands. "Just go and have a good time, be safe and call me when you get to the city, and call me tonight.., and if I text you, text me right back A.S.A.P., Okay girlie?"
"Alright.., sure no problem, fine." Leah smiled with a little laugh, happy for her sister's concern for her safety and well being. "Now.., I have to get out of here and start my little adventure!" Leah said enthusiastically as she gave her sister and her son a little squeeze. "I will call you when I get to Buenos Aires and I will see you both on Sunday morning."
"Okay, goodbye." Lexa said as she sat back on the edge of the bed, cradling Jason in her arms and as he played with the long golden curls cascading around her shoulders, Lexa watched as her sister turned and left the room, Lexa could hear the click, click, of her heels as Leah walked down the hall. Lexa sat there listening to the footfalls of her sister as she went down the steps, crossed the foyer going out the front door. Lexa stood up with the babe in her arms as she went over to the window and watched Leah climb into her car, the little silver, convertible Mercedes that Charles never drove anymore, not since he had the Bugatti. With a rev of the engine Lexa felt her pulse quicken as her heart began to race, she felt a wave of heat rise up to her face as she stared out the window, watching her sisterm Leah, drive away, completely unaware that she would never see her sister, alive, again.
